Most workplaces have exposure to dust, silica, solvent vapours, fibres, aerosols, DPM, welding fumes and other workplace chemical contaminants over a long period of time in the workplace as a major health hazard, which could lead to effects ranging from skin irritations to respiratory disorders and various forms of cancers. ARECC can help to monitor the real time worker exposures to these contaminants, as well as the 8-hr time weighted average exposures, short term exposures and ceiling exposures on the inhalable and respirable fractions (for particulates) to help limit worker’s exposure to these contaminants and determine if unknown contaminants in air are safe, alongside investigate their health effects so that effective controls are put in place to drastically minimize the risk to workers or to eliminate these hazards if possible.
