Vibration Assessment

Exposure to vibration is becoming widespread in modern industries. Workers become exposed to these vibrations as they use varieties of tools, machines and vehicles such as chainsaws, jackhammers, chipping tools, tractors and earth-moving vehicles. Prolonged exposure to these vibrations causes health effects, disorders and or diseases, ranging from motion sickness, damage to bones and joints, digestive problems, variations in blood pressure, nerve and blood vessel degeneration and many others. The risk of exposure to these vibrations depends on the characteristics of vibration, parts of the body exposed and duration of exposure. We investigate whole body vibrations and hand-arm vibrations of worker’s exposure to these vibrations.
